Tips for Damaged Hair

TIP #3:  TRY A LEAVE IN CONDITIONER

Leave in conditioners are another perfect option for keeping dry damaged hair hydrated and protected throughout the day.  One of our favorites is Design Protein Spray by Keune.

This is an instant multi-purpose leave-in conditioner that helps to even out porosity and repair split ends.   It’s perfect for hair that has been compromised due to a constant barrage of heat styling, chemical services, chlorine, and sun exposure.   It contains Green Tea and Chamomile Extracts that work as anti-oxidants and keep your hair moisturized without adding build-up.  It also has a multi-vitamin complex that protects your scalp and hair while giving it glossy shine and a healthy, manageable feel.

You simply spray it on your hair and massage lightly.   This will coat and seal your hair cuticle, making it smooth and cutting down on dryness while adding softness and manageability to your locks.  No need to rinse!  Just style your hair as you would normally.

TIP #4:  SKIP THE HEAT

Weak, damaged hair needs gentle treatment and tender loving care.   It will return to a healthier state much faster if you avoid high heat from irons and blow dryers.   Choose low or cool settings when possible and try not to concentrate heat on any one area for too long.  As often as you can, choose non-heat options such as letting your hair air dry or using large Velcro rollers for adding volume and curls.
